Hello student cooks!
The Global Green Lunch (GGL) is an initiative by the Green Office and ISOW that aims to bring the community at WUR together through food. If you would like to share your cooking skills from all over the world, then the GGL is the right place for you!
The GGL is the result of ISOW and the Green Office uniting forces. Before, each organization would host similar activities called the Global Lunch and the Student Cooking Corner. After getting together and thinking how we could create something bigger and better we came up with the GGL.
What is it?
Every Wednesday during lunch hours (12:00-14:00), students have the chance to sell a vegetarian homemade dish of their choice.
How does it work?
You can sign up below and depending on the week, you will be selling the food either in Forum or in the Global Lounge.
If needed, you can use the kitchen from the Global Lunch to prepare the food you are going to sell. You can use the kitchen either on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning. You set the price per portion, and you get to keep all the money from the sales!
This is a great opportunity to showcase traditional dishes, inspire others with delicious vegan and vegetarian meals, and hopefully make use of all the farm-fresh food that Wageningen has to offer. Please keep it to one dish and 30-40 servings per cooking corner session. You can make whatever you want, we only ask you to make it vegetarian.
If you would like to participate in the Global Green Lunch and sell your homemade dish, select a free Wednesday in the calendar and make your reservation. If you have any questions, you can email scc.greenoffice@wur.nl.
