Vision for Food and Beverages at WUR
Several developments at WUR lead to the process of writing a vision on Food and Beverage, for which the Green Office took an active role in 2021. This includes catering, banqueting, events, dinner services, warm- and cold drink services, and vending machines. The objective of this project was to create a foundation for food and beverages for the period between 2021 and 2026. New policies that catering companies have to follow will be based on this vision. Topics such as healthy food, food waste, plastic, and sustainability were discussed and opinions of WUR students and employees were be included.
One of the previous Food & Health Coordinators was involved in writing this vision together with the catering vision project team. The end-goal of the project team was to write a well-defined vision that will hopefully lead to positive opinions of WUR students and employees about the food and beverage assortment, processes, and appearance.
