New WUR catering vision on Food and Beverages

New WUR catering vision on Food and Beverages

In the upcoming years, there are several developments at WUR and on Campus which lead to the process of writing a new vision on Food and Beverage. This includes catering, banqueting, events, dinner services, warm- and cold drink services, and vending machines. Currently, new buildings are being built in which catering will be needed. With the different contacts of the current vending machines, coffee, and catering suppliers ending in 2020, 2021, and 2022, it was needed to take another look at requirements for food and beverages on campus. The objective of this project is to create a foundation for food and beverages in the coming 5-10 years. New policies will be based on this vision. Topics such as healthy food, food waste, plastic, and sustainability will be discussed and opinions of WUR students and employees will be included.

The Food & Health Coordinator (Tasneemah Potmis) from The Green Office Wageningen is involved in writing this vision together with the catering vision project team. The goal of the project team is to write a well-defined vision that will hopefully lead to positive opinions of WUR students and employees about the food and beverage assortment, processes, and appearance.
